On December 15, No. 1 Tunnel of the Jakarta-Bandung HSR was successfully holed through, marking another significant progress in the construction of the HSR. Ning Jizhe, Vice Chairman of Chinas National Development and Reform Commission, Yang Yudong, General Manager of CHINA RAILWAY, Wang Tongjun, Vice General Manager of CHINA RAILWAY, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Indonesias Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (vice premier level), Xiao Qian, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, as well as officials of relevant Indonesian government authorities and heads of construction participants of the Jakarta-Bandung HSR have witnessed and congratulated the holing-through of No. 1 Tunnel in Beijing and Jakarta through video connection.
